Exploring the Journey to Full-Time Missions: God's Guidance, Agencies, Funding, Singles/Families

  • Breakout Session
  • Main Building Chapel
  • November 9 2018 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM

This session is for those considering full-time missions internationally. Hear healthcare missionaries share their own journeys and get answers to your questions.

Objectives

Questions to be discussed by the panel during the first hour large group include:
How do I find God’s guidance in the journey?
Why and how do I connect with a mentor or agency or team or training?
What about student loans, raising financial support?
What if my spouse or potential spouse, family or friends are not supportive of me doing missions?

The second hour will be spent in a small discussion group with a missionary coach. You may select a group that fits your current stage on the journey:
Exploring whether or not to consider full-time missions
Heading towards full-time missions
And also whether you are:
Single
Married and no children (or no children yet)
Married with children
Married couple both in healthcare

Here were some of the comments from last year:
"My group leader was great and answered a lot of the questions that I had."
"My leader did a great job both answering questions and being open and honest about his experiences. "
And two leaders wrote about their groups:
"This was very helpful to move things forward in their lives."
"My group said it was the best part of GMHC for them: talking to missionaries about real life things."

Discover hope, learn key resources, meet others, and take steps on the journey to full-time missions.
