Meeting Overview

ABWE Medical Friends of Togo (MFT) is a group of volunteer healthcare providers who have served as short term missionaries at Hôpital Baptiste Biblique (HBB) in the south, or Hospital of Hope (HOH) in the north, coming from North America. Other ABWE/MFT support staff includes technicians, administrators, and construction volunteers. This meeting serves as means to network with our ABWE/MFT team of short term and career missionary colleagues with those attending the GMHC with an interest in potentially serving in either hospital. There will be missionary spokesmen from each hospital giving an update on the ministries of each hospital and opportunities to serve as a healthcare provider, technician, or administrator; or to be involved in supporting a project of one of the hospitals.

Currently our largest project is the expansion/renewal Vision Project at HBB, a 55 bed medical center, to become a 100 bed hospital expanding all services of the hospital and accommodations preparing to become a PAACS training site in 2023. HOH is a modern 65 bed hospital, recently opened, is also anticipating becoming a PAACS training center in the near future. Both hospitals have outreaches to unreached people groups in each locality in this French speaking country and have enhanced significantly the church planting/house church growth in each location. Our northern region of Mango also has a new Hope Radio outreach that is reaching a large audience in Togo and nearby countries.

Our ABWE/MFT staff will be available to answer questions regarding serving as a short term or career missionary with ABWE in either hospital.
