Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) is the use of ultrasound by the bedside clinician to aid in diagnosing and managing conditions in their patients. Particularly in the mission field and in limited-resourced settings, this portable technology can greatly enhance diagnostic certainty as other diagnostic modalities may not be available. We will introduce the basics of ultrasound techniques and provide hands-on experience in scanning head-to-toe.
